Blending the Right Flowers with Blue Wedding Colors
One of the most important things before planning the wedding décor and arrangements is deciding on a theme and a color scheme. You can customize everything right from the accents that are going to be used in the décor to the attire or even the invite cards after deciding on a color palette.
There are just too many wedding colors for one’s liking and if you don’t have a favorite or never really gave it a thought as to what color would you like to see your wedding in; you’ve really got your work cut out here. Well, here’s an idea (suggestion); why not blue.
The blue, although does not sound good phrase-wise (having the blues) and feel draining in some other references too, it has plenty of scope in its various forms for wedding décor and floral arrangements. You can mix and match something between cerulean blue and azure blue to ocean-blue and even barely blue colors to have innumerable variations and options for the wedding style and décor you have in mind. There are indigo blues for romantic themes, sapphire hues for the contemporary events and navy blues to help you decorate traditional arrangements.
The color can adapt to all sorts of styles and arrangements and blends with almost all sorts of combinations such as pretty blush pink, deep burgundy, poignant peach, and pine green. So now that you’ve got that all figured out you, might be thinking how to match the accents with blue wedding colors? There are not a lot of blue wedding flowers and we’ve got some of them to help you out plan a perfect blue wedding and arrangements:
Hydrangeas:
The flowers with a big head and blowsy patterns are quite an easy pick for wedding bouquets. The blue shades are guaranteed to look good with your white linens, wedding bouquets, and even the bridal dress. The flowers are one of the most popular fillers and generally fill spaces quite easily but that does not mean that they are any less stunning when they’re used on their own for bridal bouquets, centerpieces or even other décor and floral arrangements.
Iris:
The flowers are quite commonly found in shades somewhere between purple and blue. Combining these blossoms with white baby’s breath, hydrangeas or even cornflowers can make stunning flower arrangements for people looking to go with blue weddings colors. For instance, who wouldn’t like an all blue bridal bouquet completed by iris, hydrangeas and delphinium blooms?
Hyacinths:
It is very difficult to resist the charms and fragrances of hyacinths and that too when they are available in blue (grape hyacinths or muscari). The essential springtime blossoms are perfect for making a style statement for rustic, barn, contemporary and even romantic weddings. The blossoms look perfect with anemones and roses in wedding centerpieces and bouquets.
Other than these you can also use thistles, forget-me-nots and a few other blossoms that epitomize blue wedding colors as a theme and make stunning décor and floral arrangements right from table centerpieces and wedding bouquets to corsages, boutonnieres, and ceremony and aisle décor.
